Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dina Mode collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit our website, place an order, or contact us.
Dina Mode is operated by HMU Commerce, a company registered in the Netherlands (Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 42132513). HMU Commerce is responsible for your personal information. Our store is powered by Shopify.
By using our website, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy applies to how we handle your personal information.
Which laws apply
We sell to customers across the United States, so we handle personal information in line with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and similar laws in other states. Because HMU Commerce is based in the Netherlands, we also comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Depending on how you use our website, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact details: your name, billing and shipping address, phone number and email address.
- Order information: the products you view, add to your cart, purchase, return or exchange, and your order history.
- Payment information: payment method, transaction details and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not store your full card number.
- Account information: your login details, preferences and settings, if you create an account.
- Communications: the information you share when you email us or use our contact form.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you interact with our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Inferences: preferences and interests we derive from the information above, for example to recommend products.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, health information or precise geolocation.
Where we get your information
- Directly from you, for example when you place an order, create an account, or contact us.
- Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website.
- From our service providers, such as Shopify, payment providers and shipping carriers, when they process information on our behalf.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Process and deliver your orders, including payments, shipping, returns, exchanges and refunds.
- Provide customer support and respond to your questions.
- Run and improve our website, such as remembering your cart and preferences and understanding how visitors use our store.
- Prevent fraud and keep our store secure, including checking orders for signs of fraud.
- Send marketing emails or text messages, only if you have given us permission (see “Marketing” below).
- Show you relevant advertising on other websites and social media, based on your activity on our store (see “Cookies and advertising” below).
- Meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases: performing our contract with you (orders and delivery), your consent (marketing and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security and improving our store), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
Marketing
We only send you marketing emails or text messages if you have given us permission, for example by subscribing at checkout or through a sign-up form. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can stop marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. After you unsubscribe, we may still send you messages about your orders or account.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website work, to understand how visitors use it, and to show you relevant ads. Advertising partners such as Meta and Google may receive information about your activity on our store for this purpose. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner on our website or your browser settings.
Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under some U.S. state laws, allowing advertising partners to collect information through cookies on our website for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “targeted advertising.”
You can opt out at any time by:
- Clicking “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” [LINK] at the bottom of our website, or
- Turning on the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out request for that browser.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Who we share your information with
We only share your personal information when it’s needed for the purposes described above. This includes:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes information to provide its services.
- Payment providers, to process your payments securely.
- Fulfillment partners and suppliers, to prepare and ship your order.
- Shipping carriers and customs brokers, to deliver your order, clear customs and handle returns.
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta and Google, unless you have opted out.
- Authorities or legal advisors, when required by law or to protect our rights.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged.
Our service providers may only use your information to provide their services to us.
Relationship with Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of our website to provide and improve its services. We also use certain Shopify features that combine information about your interactions with our store with information from other merchants and Shopify. In those cases, Shopify is responsible for that processing. You can read more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and exercise your rights through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
International transfers
Your personal information may be stored and processed outside the United States, including in the Netherlands and other EU countries, and in other countries where our service providers and suppliers operate. Information stored in another country may be accessible to courts and authorities there under local law. When we transfer information, we use contracts and other safeguards to make sure it stays protected in line with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Order and payment records are kept for 7 years to meet Dutch tax and accounting requirements. If you unsubscribe from marketing, we stop using your information for marketing right away. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, such as secure (encrypted) connections and limited access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information through unsecured channels such as regular email.
Children
Our store is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
